Berthine Crèvecoeur West

Berthine Crèvecoeur West believes the power of knowledge is transformational. She founded Westbridge Solutions on the core competencies of planning and organization, cultural awareness, and collaborative working. Clients of Westbridge would agree that being a catalyst in these competencies enabled their organizations to deliver outstanding service.

Berthine received both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from St. John’s University in Jamaica, NY. Prior to becoming the CEO of Westbridge Solutions, LLC, Berthine worked in the corporate and healthcare sectors as a multilingual professional. Her passion for learning and sharing knowledge with others led to her role as a trainer and public speaker. Berthine was also able to grow her skills in language and cultural development while working with prominent organizations such as Clayton State University, Gwinnett Medical Center, Piedmont Hospital, Emory University School of Medicine, Georgia Department of Public Health, Southwest Georgia Area Health Education Center (SOWEGA-AHEC), The American Red Cross and Abraham Baldwin Educational College.

Berthine Crèvecoeur West is the author of three books, Culture Incorporated: An Innovative Approach to Cultural Competence Diversity and Inclusion in the WorkplaceGlobal Fluency: 50 Tips on Creating a Culturally Competent and Inclusive Professional Environment and The Healthcare Trifecta: Conversations on the Intersectionality of Language, Illness and Culture. All three projects continue her drive towards positive cultural change on a global scale.

Mayte "Maria" Peck

Maria Peck was born in New York City and raised in Peru. Only ten years after arriving in Georgia, Maria opened Sweet Devil Moon Tapas Bar. She successfully developed the vision and concept for the restaurant and was personally responsible for meeting the financial challenges of running and managing a 1 Million-dollar yearly budget for six years. Her search for additional funding led her to access capital through a national Microlender, only to later joined Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs non-profit lender as Small Business Loan Officer. Maria has made it her life’s mission to educate and prepare women and minorities for access to capital, she tirelessly works on community outreach initiatives, coaching financial education programs around town, one-on-one business consulting, and lending. 

​

Different leadership roles at ACE include the Founding Director for the ACE Women Business Center in Atlanta and the Director of Hispanic Strategies and Lending. 

​

Today, she is the President of SheLends Consulting and Principal Managing Partner at Mark of the Potter a 50-year-old family business. She also serves as the Board Chair for the Latino Community Fund of Georgia.

Tonia Morris

Tonia Morris is the Founder of Simply HR – an outsourcing firm specializing in solutions that attract & retain a Multi-Generation Workforce.  Simply HR solutions are relevant, and Multi-Generation driven.  We focus on what matters- a culture that embraces a Multi-Generation workforce.  She and her team provide HR consulting, coaching and training services to organizations of all sizes and has worked with clients in a wide variety of industries such as government, manufacturing, retail, insurance, information technology, nonprofit and education.  Tonia believes HR is a critical component of any business in order to grow.  She and her team help organizations with attracting, retaining, and the development of a productive multi-generation workforce.

Tonia has spoken to numerous audiences, associations and corporations on topics such as ‘How to Work with Millennials, “Stop the Chaos in the Workplace” just to name a few.

 

Prior to Simply HR, Tonia spent over 25 years in Human Resources helping organizations transform their culture one generation at a time.

Tonia will be moderating the Small Business Resource panel
